Cllr Cassin seeks re-election as Independent Ireland candidate | Carlow Nationalist


By Suzanne PenderCOUNCILLOR John Cassin has announced his intention to seek re-election for the upcoming local elections under the Independent Ireland banner. Independent Ireland defines itself as the “party of common sense” and includes TDs Michael Fitzmaurice, Michael Collins and Richard O’Donoghue. Cllr Cassin will once again stand in the Carlow LEA, his fourth election for the area. “It has been an honour to serve the people of Carlow town and I am eager to continue my efforts to improve our community. Cllr Cassin was first elected to Carlow Town Council in 2009 as a member of Sinn Féin and subsequently elected to Carlow County Council in 2014.
